Enabling Sustainability through Organizational Project Management

Sustainability has become a key parameter for organizations and this means that projects and operations have to be planned and implemented with this objective. At the project level it may be difficult to bring in sustainability initiatives because often times the scope of the project is already determined or it is contractual. To get a sustainability perspective one has to consider it beyond a project outcome and further this needs to be addressed by senior management. Therefore, an organizational level approach would be more appropriate. This is where the Organizational Project Management or OPM comes in. This approach would looks at outcomes not just at project but also at program level. It considers portfolio management to effectively implement the strategy of the organization. This webinar will explore the use of OPM for Sustainability. Examples / Case Studies will be presented.   Learning Outcomes: OPM What is Organizational Project Management? Effective Hybrid Practices

Hybrid life cycles and development approaches are an increasingly popular way to manage projects in organizations. Many organizations now combine aspects of predictive/Waterfall project management with aspects of adaptive/Agile to get the benefits of what both have to offer while reducing the impact of any detriments. Is your organization one of these? Are you looking at adopting a hybrid model but are not sure where to start? If so, this webinar is for you. Attendees will learn about example models for effective hybrid approaches and best practices to achieve an effective hybrid approach. Which aspects of a project are best suited to predictive approaches versus adaptive approaches, as well as how to bring teams using both approaches together, will be discussed. Attendees will come away with a better idea of what hybrid practices are most effective and how to start developing a hybrid approach.
